Instagram’s latest update, which is being released today includes support for ProRAW photos. Instagram developer Tim Johnsen noted on Twitter, Instagram would now handle ProRAW images.
Instagram should able to handle sharing ProRAW photos as of this morning, may take a bit to propagate out.

The only caveat is that the DNG images aren’t able to be edited on Instagram. From what we know it seems Instagram is converting the images once uploaded to a more compatible format.
Support within Instagram is very limited; and all edits and changes will need to be made in Apple’s photos app or in a third part application before being posted to Instagram.Â
ProRAW is exclusively available on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, which was released with iOS 14.3, allowing users to take advantage of the cameras hardware and more.
