According to news outlet The Information, former Apple Chief Designer Officer Jony Ive hired five former Apple colleagues of his for LoveFrom, a design firm owned by Ive.
After leaving the Cupertino-based company in 2019, Ive has been hard at work in his own design company. While the company has still yet to announce any collaborations after their partnership with Airbnb went public, the former Apple CDO has been building up his design team. Chris Wilson, Patch Kessler, Eugene Whang, Jeff Tiller, and Wan Si have been hired by LoveFrom, after a successful trajectory at Apple.
We still have to wait for any official confirmation for any projects or business partnerships. Aside from these hires and the Airbnb confirmation, all of the company’s current endeavors are being kept a secret.
Jony Ive keeps making headlines months after his departure form Apple. While some consider him a genius, and others a terrible designer but we can’t deny the impact that he has made in the tech industry.
