Yesterday it was announced that Big Lots has launched support for Apple Pay on its website and app.

With the increase in online shipping over the past couple of years, as well as the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Week sales, adding Apple Pay support to its website is a must, in terms of its privacy, security, and encryption.

Customers will have the opportunity to use its website and app to use Big Lots’ two-day shipping and curbside pickup options.

Big Lots president Bruce Thorn said that this has been a plan for the company for a while with increased online shopping.

This holiday season, we’re encouraging customers to celebrate the ‘Have-it-all-idays’ by shopping our dramatically expanded online product selection using their favorite payment methods,” he said. “This year we’ve increased the number of available products on biglots.com by 40%, including some online exclusives, and we’re adding more every week. It’s never been easier to take advantage of our exceptional deals online, just in time for Cyber Week.”

Big Lots previously already accepted Apple Pay in its stores before yesterday’s announcement, but this is the first time they have allowed for the feature to be on its website.

Apple Card customers will be able to get 2% in Daily Cash when making purchases online or from using Apple Card via their iPhone or Apple Watch in a Big Lots store.
