Apple is expected to increase the RAM capacity of its iPhone 14 models from 4GB to 6GB later this year. This was reported by the Taiwanese research blog TrendForce on Wednesday. The current iPhone 13 and 13 mini models come with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and the Pro models with 6GB of RAM.

According to TrendForce, Apple might use LPDDR5 RAM for the Pro models of this year’s iPhone lineup. The LPDDR5 type of RAM is faster and more power-efficient. This is in line with the rumors by Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable Apple analyst working at TF International Securities.

The Cupertino-based giant is expected to announce the next version of its operating software, iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and macOS 13. The highly awaited refresh of the MacBook Air is also expected to be announced in WWDC 2022.
