This weekend, we have the season finale to the 2024-2025 NFL season which will be between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The game itself is being played in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is regularly home to the New Orleans Saints.
Super Bowl LIX kickoff will start at 6:30 p.m. ET. This year, the game is being broadcast live on FOX.
As for how to stream the game live, that will be done through a variety of different methods.
Those methods include live TV streaming services such as YouTube TV, Fubo TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV (Must be on Sling Blue plan and only in select TV markets that get their local FOX station).
By streaming it through those services listed above, they will provide an HD picture of the game live.
NFL+ subscribers will be able to stream the game live, but that will only be for those using a mobile device like an iPhone or iPad.
However, the big thing happening this year is FOX will be showing the game live in 4K too.
To stream the game live in 4K, there are a couple ways of doing that.
The first one will be through live TV streaming services like YouTube TV, Fubo TV, and Sling TV that will have the FOX 4K channel.
Services like Fubo TV and Sling TV (for those on Sling Blue plan) currently provide that channel at no additional cost to their users, but for the YouTube TV subscribers, they must have the 4K Plus add-on that costs an additional $9.99 a month on top of their regular service.
Another way to stream the game in 4K will be through Tubi. FOX does own Tubi and has confirmed this year that not only will the Super Bowl this year be available to stream on it for free on Tubi, but that Tubi will have a free 4K stream of the game as well.
It should be noted that fans that are looking to stream the game in 4K will need to have a 4K compatible device. Thankfully, the Apple TV 4K is a compatible 4K device for streaming the Super Bowl live in 4K on Tubi.
That list of devices also includes Roku 4K supported and Amazon Fire TV 4K supported products too. However, it should be noted that it is surprising to see that no modern day gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 5 or XBOX Series X&S are not considered to be 4K-supported devices for streaming apps like Tubi.
Those that do not have a 4K-compatible device for streaming the game will get a default HD stream of the game through Tubi.
