Today, in addition to iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and macOS 26.5, Apple also released tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and HomePod version 26.5 to the public after weeks of beta testing.
Unlike the other versions, which include new wallpaper options, these updates only include “performance and stability improvements,” along with bug fixes, according to Apple’s release notes. These updates come a month and a half after the release of version 26.4.
Unfortunately, these versions do not include any new Apple Intelligence features as we expected previously. We can now expect new AI features only with the release of the betas of version 27, which are set to debut in June at WWDC 2026. 26.5 is one of the last major versions, as Apple shifts its attention to version 27.
tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and HomePod version 26.5 include fixes for more than 35 security issues, including WebKit, Spotlight, Shortcuts, Image IO, and more, so it is essential to update your devices quickly. To update your devices, open Settings>General>Software update and click on “Update Now” or “Update Later”.
