It’s less than a week away from Apple’s Special Event where they are expected to announce the new digital magazine subscription service, and they are still trying to seal deals with huge publishers. According to a report from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal is planning to join Apple’s new subscription service.

In the rumored magazine subscription service customers will get articles from a bunch of publishers in one monthly fee. The subscription is said to cost $9.99 per month and will most likely be available through the News App.

According to numerous rumors, Apple is struggling to seal deals with publishers like The New York Times, The Washington Post and more because they want to keep 50% of the revenue and then split the other 50% between the publishers. Publishers will get paid by the amount of time the users spend on their articles.

It is expected that Apple and The Wall Street Journal will announce their partnership at the Special Event starting at 10:00 a.m. PDT on Monday at the Steve Jobs Theater.
