Mini-Review: Viacom Channels on FuboTV

Late last month, FuboTV did add the Viacom channels to its live TV streaming service. These channels include channels such as CMT, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and many more.

How do the channels look and work on the service?

In my experience, the channels look the way they should and they are just like the other channels on the service.

The one thing that I did like early on is that the channels do have a view of the shows that are on the network. To make it better, you can see the shows and episodes that are available on-demand.

One issue that I did see with the on-demand was that it was a tiny bit confusing because it would show episodes that were available to stream on-demand and upcoming episodes that were scheduled to be broadcasted on the networks. This needs to be separated into sections so that you can see what you can stream right then and there, and then see what is upcoming in a different section.

I did find that with 20-30-minute shows that there was not a lot of commercials for the traditional cable networks, but that there were commercials on big network channels like CBS.

Lastly, the DVR was really nice too. If I wanted to DVR an episode of Drake and Josh or Spongebob on Nickelodeon or TeenNick, it was easy to do and easy watch afterward.

Overall, with the channel selection and the on-demand functionality of those channels, I’ll give this mini-review 4/4 stars. The channels do add more value to FuboTV and its brand, as well as that customers can do more than just watch sports on the service. Now there truly is something for everyone.

Rating: 4/4 stars
