It was reported by us a couple of days ago that Sling TV, DISH, and Disney were negotiating a contract for a deal so that Sling TV could receive ACC Network and ACCNX to their customers.

Sling TV already had the ESPN ACC Extra channel, but since ESPN was planning on launching ACC Network, this meant that the ACC Extra channel had to be renamed and rebranded as “ACCNX,” so that it would not confuse viewers.

As of today, Sling TV has officially lost ACCNX. In fact, if you open the Sling TV app, the channel is now simply unavailable to stream.

ACCNX was previously only available for Sling TV users that had the Sling Orange plan since the Sling Orange plan has other ESPN channels like ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPN 3.

This also comes at a bad time since the 2019 college football season kicks off this upcoming Saturday, with two games that night and a plethora of others the following week. Needless to say, this is the last thing Sling TV and DISH needed right now.

Additionally, Sling TV also does not have the FSN regional stations on the Sling Blue plan due to their other contract dispute with Disney too.

If you would still at least like to be able to stream ACC Network, which launches today, you can watch it on alternative live TV streaming services such as Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV.

UPDATE (08/22/2019): Here is a quote that the channel currently has for those who are finding that they do not have access to ACCNX:

“With the upcoming launch of a new ACC Network, Disney has made this content unavailable to Sling customers for the time being. We’re working to bring this content to you as part of an ongoing commitment to give you the TV you live, with all the flexibility you want, at the best value possible.”
