iOS 10.2 Developer Beta 1 Available. Many Changes Made.

Avatar for Uprising News

It’s been almost 14 days since we’ve seen a developer beta from Apple, and iOS 10.2 is now here…for developers.

Note that this update is limited to developers and current members of the developer beta testing program. A valid, verified developer beta certificate is required to see and download this and all developer beta updates.

Here’s some improvements found in this update:

  • Bug fixes (ALL iOS 10 Devices)
  • Major updates to Emoji library and added support for Unicode 9. New emojis included with the update include a clown face, selfie, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, pancakes, a croissant, and many more appear in this update. See http://bit.ly/newiOSemojis for details.
  • More Wallpapers. The wallpapers shown at the iPhone 7 keynote are now officially available for those with an iPhone 6s and above

  • Improved icons for Bluetooth accessories, with the added support for displaying an accessory’s battery level in the status bar.
  • Improved camera settings. A new set of toggles allow for you to customize whether or not you want to preserve the last used camera mode, filter, and live photo settings

  • Emergency contacts. When using the SOS function on the Apple Watch, your iPhone will automatically send a notification to your emergency contacts.
  • Increased contrast blur when using a 3D Touch function.
  • New videos widget

  •  MUSIC now can be sorted by type, title and recently added.
  • New added full screen effects in Messages, and the added ability to replay a bubble effect when receiving one.

This update comes in around 1.5-2GB, based on your device, and, as usual, is accessible to any device currently running iOS 10 with a verified developer beta certificate installed

To install iOS 10.2 Developer beta 1, simply jump to your Settings > General > Software Update > Download & Install.

Agree to the Terms and Conditions and confirm your passcode to continue and complete the installation. Your device will restart several times, and may appear inactive at times. The update should take no longer than 15 minutes.
Be sure to have your device backed up to iCloud prior to starting the update, and connect your device to a reliable power source.

Alternatively, using iTunes from a Mac running macOS Sierra and higher or a PC running Windows 10 can be used for installing iOS 10.1.1

DISCLAIMERS:
