Review: Starbucks Gifts iMessage Sticker

Avatar for David Becker

Starbucks unveiled a new way to send and receive gift cards from your iPhone. The company did this by creating an iMessage Sticker app that allows for users to send gift cards to their contacts (or other people with iPhones) and have the gift card paid with Apple Pay.

The process is fairly easy. Simply open up iMessage and then open your stickers, enable Starbucks Gifts, and then you can start choosing which gift card style you want, and then choosing how much money you want to put on the gift card ($5, $10, $15).

Once you have chosen the style of the gift card and how much money you want on it, you pay with Apple Pay, and then the gift card is sent. All the recipient has to do is open it at a Starbucks and have a barista scan it when you’re placing your order. Now that’s what I call simple.

Overall, I’m giving this app 4/4 stars for its first day on the market. It was straightforward as for how you do it and I like that the gift card prices go as low as $5 because that is very affordable.
