Instant access to Up Next
Press the TV button on your Siri Remote once to see what’s in Up Next. Press it again to open the TV app (U.S. only).
Music everywhere
Use the Siri Remote to control music throughout your house.
Family and friends can use Apple Music on their devices to add songs to a Shared Up Next list.
One Home screen
Keep your apps and Home screen the same across every Apple TV you own. With this setting, apps and their onscreen placement always stay in sync, so it’s easier to manage multiple devices.
Public beta
Join the Apple Beta Software Program and help make the next tvOS release the best yet. Take part in shaping tvOS by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think. some features are not available in all regions or all languages.
Automatic appearance
Have your Apple TV automatically switch its appearance between light and dark based on your local sunrise and sunset times.
New display languages
You can set your Apple TV to display right-to-left languages, including Arabic and Hebrew. Text onscreen will automatically convert to the proper format.
iPhone and iPad remote control
It’s easier than ever to use your iPhone or iPad as your remote for Apple TV. You can easily control your Apple TV directly from Control Center on your iOS devices running iOS 11.
Developer Features
New developer features include background fetch and notifications so apps are always up to date and ready the next time they’re opened, improved video playback experiences, and more.
