As of this morning, the new Amazon Prime Video app is now available for the first time ever on the Apple TV. This was announced by Tim Cook in June 2017 during the WWDC 2017 keynote.

The app itself is a free download from the tvOS App Store. Users who have an Amazon Prime account can sign in to their account begin to watch the TV shows and movies that Prime Video has to offer their users.

The interface of the app is the same thing you would find when using the Amazon Fire TV or any Roku streaming device. There’s no Apple TV-exclusive features to it, which is something you would see in apps like FOX Sports Go.

If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, I would encourage you to download this on your Apple TV because this is something that has taken many years to get and it’s finally here.
