Apple Stores’ Logo Gained Green Leaf, New iPhone Disassembly Robot Daisy, And More On This Earth Day

In celebration of the upcoming Earth Day on April 22nd, some of Apple retail stores’ logo has already gained green leaves, in a departure from the usual all-white design. The staff also urging to wear green shirts instead of their usual blue ones. 
 
In addition, Apple has introduced a new iPhone disassembly robot called Daisy, the bot offers “the most efficient way to reclaim more of the valuable materials stored in iPhone”. Daisy can take apart up to 200 iPhone devices per hour, removing and sorting components.
 
Furthermore, Apple announced the GiveBack program, in which every device traded in or recycled at Apple online and retail stores worldwide between today and the end of April, they will make a disclosed amount of donation to Conservation International, a non-profit environmental organization who worked to protect the nature globally.
 
Lastly, Apple has released its 2018 Environment Report, detailing the company’s environmental progress, its efforts on using 100% renewable energy, products recyclability, supply chain environment responsibilities, and so on. Read Apple’s full report here.
