What a lot of people like about Spotify is that it enables users to use a web player. This means that if you are a person that uses a Mac, you can access Spotify without downloading their Mac app.Â
Believe it or not, Apple Music has a web player too. It’s just not one that many people know about.
To access the Apple Music web player, following the following instructions:
- Head to tools.applemusic.com
- Sign-in with your account information.
- Start listening to music from there.
I would still think it would be best to listen to Apple Music in the iTunes app or a device like an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV, but if you do come into a pinch, there is a web player for it now.
Also, yes, you can embed the Apple Music web player within blog posts and articles online, but it is not perfect and still does not work fully. Even I can’t get it right. Still, it’s better than nothing.
To test it out, I have put a new song by Madilyn Paige and David Archuleta that just came out on Apple Music last week. To get the traditional iTunes 30-second preview, simply click play. To listen to the full song, sign into your account in the top-right corner of the web player and listen to it in its entireity.
