Apple TV: What to Watch (October 19-25, 2018)

As part of a new series of articles we are doing here on TeamApple News, we are sharing all of the TV shows and sporting events that Apple is recommending and that can be watched in their Apple TV app. 

Here are the following shows and sporting events that Apple is recommending for this week:

Key Show:

• The Rookie (ABC): He’s back! In a new crime drama, the great Nathan Fillion shows us it’s never too late for a career change — even if it makes him the oldest newbie in the LAPD

• Carpool Karaoke (Apple Original): Musical comedy matters The Lonely Island and “Weird Al” Yankovic sing together at last.

• Pod Save America (HBO): The podcasting pros are ready to help us prepare for the looming midterm elections.

• The Neighborhood (CBS): Cedric the Entertainer and Max Greenfield are the comedy duo we never knew we needed.
  • Available to watch on the Apple TV app and CBS All Access.

    

A-List Comedy:

• The Conners (ABC): The family bounces back from tragedy in a funny, powerful, beautifully acted premiere.
  • Available to watch on the Apple TV app, ABC app and Hulu.

    

• Superstore (NBC): A surprising new season gets refreshingly frank about workplace romance in the #MeToo era.
  • Available to watch on the Apple TV app, NBC app and Hulu.

    

• Black-ish (ABC): Junior isn’t quite ready to leave the nest. We can relate.
  • Available to watch on the Apple TV app, ABC app and Hulu.

    

Game Time:

• Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors (ESPN): Kawhi’s a Raptor, Boston’s finally at full strength, and we’re losing sleep over all the storylines.

• #16 NC State vs. #3 Clemson (ESPN): If the 5-0 Wolfpack want to silence Death Valley, they’ll have to outshine star QB Trevor Lawerence.

• Bengals vs. Chiefs (NBC): Last week we found out Pat Mahomes is human (kinda). Now let’s see if he has the bounce-back gene.
