Reports of lower-than-expected iPhone sales have led the price of the Apple stock falling, in fact, the company’s stock has fallen for more than 25%. Nomura analyst Anne Lee said in a report today that next year won’t be better either. She said that the overall design of the 2019 iPhone will remain the same as this year’s iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, but will add more AR features.
“We think the three new iPhones in 2H19F will likely have the same form factors (body size and displays) as the 2H18 iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max, with some added AR [augmented reality]-related features,” she wrote in a research report published Friday.
In addition, Anne Lee said that 2019 iPhones will be the last models that use the iPhone X design element, Apple will redesign the iPhone for new technologies such as 5G and AR, but the new iPhone will not come out until 2020. By 2019, Lee forecasts that iPhone sales will reach 204 million units, however, fall to only 200 million units in 2020. (Via Barron)
