Beats by Dre, an Apple Brand, will reportedly release a new version of their wireless Powerbeats next month. They will be truly wireless and cordless according to CNET.

The 2nd Gen of AirPods released earlier this week with an optional wireless charging case, the new H1 Chip, more battery life and ‘Hey Siri’ support. The report said Apple will add their new H1 Chip to the Powerbeats 4. If the Powerbeats are going to be truly wireless, there won’t be any hardware controls and it will then be required for Apple to add the ‘Hey Siri’ feature. The new Powerbeats might also have to have a charging case and this could increase the price of the Powerbeats that cost $199 at the moment, the same as what AirPods cost with a wireless charging case.

It won’t be strange for Apple to use the new AirPods technology seeing that they already did this back in 2016 when they added the AirPods’ W1 Chip to the BeatsX and then later to the rest of the Beats lineup.

The Powerbeats 4 will be the first change to the Beats lineup since the Beats Solo 3 got the W1 Chip last year in June.
