No, this is not an ad but merely something that I came across this morning online.

There is an app in the App Store that will enable people to stream their local ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and CW stations for free, as well as some other channels like Laff, PBS, CTV and a few others.

The app is called SiMeTV and will allow you to stream those channels for free and legally.

When it comes to the local stations, the only ones I am getting right now are the ones in Buffalo, New York, so that is where you will see the “local” news. However, this is still a great way to watch some top network programming for free, such as Young Sheldon, The Simpsons, Family Guy and Modern Family, just to name a few.

Right now, the app does not contain any on-demand content, meaning that if you are looking to watch networks from this app, you will have to watch them live. There is no going back.

SiMeTV is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV as a free app.
