According to a new support document released by Apple today. The company has released a security firmware update for the AirPort Base station. The update fixes many security issues to make the device more safe.

For our customers’ protection, Apple doesn’t disclose, discuss, or confirm security issues until an investigation has occurred and patches or releases are available. Recent releases are listed on the Apple security updates page.

Apple security documents reference vulnerabilities by CVE-ID when possible.

For more information about security, see the Apple Product Security page.

Apple discontinued the Airport product line on Apr 26, 2018, but Apple is still providing updates to some of these devices. If you would like to view more information about this update, you can view the Apple Support document here.
