Apple unveiled iOS 13 today at their WWDC 2019 keynote. The update will bring many great features to the OS, which does now include Dark Mode that was rumored for a little while now.
With that said, here are the iPhones that are going to be compatible with the brand new iOS 13:
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
- iPhone X
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
- iPhone 6S
- iPhone 6S Plus
- iPhone SE
- iPod Touch Seventh Generation
As for what that means for the older iPhones and iPods that are not being updated, that means that people who use those devices will not have access into getting on their iPhone or iPod when iOS 13 is released.
iOS 13 does not have an official launch date but is set to be released sometime this fall. If Apple does stick to their traditional methods, they will announce it again at the 2019 September iPhone event, where it will either be available that day of the keynote or be made available exactly a week after the event.
