Redbox (Again) Hints at Apple Pay Acceptance

We reported recently that there was evidence to suggest that Redbox had looked into adding Apple Pay and other forms of NFC/contactless payment.

A Reddit user was able to take and put a picture in the Apple Pay subreddit about the company adding NFC card readers onto their kiosks. Redbox has currently not said anything about them adding Apple Pay to the public.

However, the company did post on their Twitter account that they indeed are looking into adding NFC/contactless payment to their kiosks, meaning that they would be able to accept Apple Pay.

There is still no word of an official launch date from the company as for when they will officially have all of their kiosks with new NFC/contactless-enabled card readers, but it could be something to watch out for this summer.
