According to a report from IHS Markit, published by Forbes, Apple will release a new 16-inch MacBook Pro in September.

“We foresee that Apple will release a new product [at the] Sep’19 Apple event if there’s no unexpected development issue,”

IHS Markit reckons the new MacBook Pro will have an LCD display made by LG. If this is true, the other reports about an OLED display for the new MacBook Pro are wrong. The display will have a resolution of 3072×1920 compared to the 15-inch MacBook Pro that has a resolution of 2,880×1,800. Ming-Chi Kuo first reported a redesigned MacBook Pro back in February with a display of 16-16.5-inches.

The new MacBook Pro has a manufacturing target of producing 250,000 16-inch MacBook Pros per month.
