Apple Music offering 6-month free trial to students

According to an internal memo acquired by Appleosophy, students who are new to Apple Music can get 6 months free Instead of the standard 3 months. This 6 month offer starts from July 9 to September 26, 2019. Once the trial ends, the Apple Music plan for students is only $4.99 per month.

Apple also notes that new student plan customers will receive an email within the first 3 months with instructions on how to redeem an additional 3 months free. After the free trial, the promotion converts to a paid subscription. To qualify for an Apple Music Student Membership, the student must be a student studying a bachelor degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent Higher Education course at a University, College (US only) or Post-Secondary School (Canada only).

We are not sure if this offer is available in other countries, but we can confirm that it’s available in the United States and Canada.
