Are you the kind of person who wants access to channels like Hallmark Channel or The Weather Channel without the cost of a regular TV streaming service like PlayStation Vue or DirecTV NOW?

A new streaming service called “Frndly TV” might be able to help out with that. Please note that this is not a review or ad of the service, but more so just a way of letting you know that there is a cheaper way to stream these types of channels.

The channel selection that Frndly TV has are channels like Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Hallmark Drama, Gameshow Network, Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network, LightTV, PiXL, Babyfirst, The Weather Channel and QVC.

With these channels, you can watch them live, in the moment, or on-demand too. However, when it comes to pricing, you can pay $5.99 a month and get a live video feed of whatever channel you are watching live or on-demand, but that the picture is only in standard definition. Additionally, you are not given any sort of DVR options either and you can only stream on one device at a time.

Another plan that the service has cost $7.99 a month and definitely has a little more along with it. With this plan, you can get unlimited DVR storage that lasts you 30 days. Also, with this plan, you’ll get two HD streams of the channels.

Lastly, there is a plan that costs $9.99 per month that includes all 12 channels on the service and a 90-day DVR that is unlimited.

You can stream this service on any iOS device, which includes the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It is unknown if the service accepts any sort of streaming from a browser, though.

Sadly, at this time, there is no Apple TV app yet for the service. If you are looking into watching content from the channels provided in this streaming service, you will have to AirPlay or Mirror it to your Apple TV.

In the meantime, if you really want to try this out on your big screen in your home, Frndly TV does have apps for the Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Chromecast.

We do intend to do a review of this service to make sure and see if this could be a good streaming service for you to pick up at some point. Look for that review to happen within the next week or two.

You can’t do that live test too soon. There are a lot of us out here questioning the legitimacy of this service.
