YouTube TV is now one of the newest live TV streaming services that has gotten rid of in-app purchases in their iOS and Apple TV apps in the App Store. This means that you can no longer subscribe to the service via the App Store and Apple’s subscription service.

YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service that is the top live TV streaming service for having your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates. In fact, YouTube TV will start getting local PBS stations on November 4, 2019.

Those that still subscribe to YouTube TV through the App Store will still have their subscriptions go through that. However, it does cost more money to do it through the App Store. When getting a YouTube TV subscription through the App Store, it will cost you $54.99 a month, whereas if you subscribe directly through YouTube TV, it will cost $49.99 a month.

That may not sound like much, but it does save you $60 a year. In order to do that, you must cancel your current account through the App Store and then resign-up for it through YouTube TV’s website.

For new customers, from here on out, they must go through the YouTube TV website to subscribe to the service.

YouTube TV is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
