According to French blog MacGeneration, an icon have discovered in the latest beta version of a future macOS 10.15.1 update that resembles the forthcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro models, in which rumored to debut later this month.
When doing a side-by-side comparison of the 16-inch and 15-inch, we can clearly see that the former have a slimmer bezels. Moreover, it seems like the Touch Bar is almost non-existent on the high-end laptop, or at least there is an escape key and power button that separates it from the Touch Bar.
The icon has the model identifier of MacBookPro16,1, nearly identical to the 15-inch MacBook Pro’s MacBookPro15,1 identifier.
Rumors have swirled the premium laptop will include an all-new design, Intel’s 9th-generation Coffee Lake processors, which will be available in up- to-8-core configurations, 2.4GHz clock speed, and 5.0GHz max Turbo Boost frequency. The performance monster will also usher in the return of a reliable scissor mechanism keyboard.
Apple is expected to announce the premium MacBook Pro with a $3,000 starting price in October. Apple could send out media invites for a event in next week. Even then that the company has no plan for a press event, they could still be unveiling the 16-inch MacBook via a Newsroom update.
