Ming-Chi- Kuo, an Apple analyst, revealed that Apple may be working on Mini-LED display technologies which may be released either in 2021 or as early as 2020.
According to 9to5Mac, Ming-Chi Kuo now predicts that this technology will be shipped first with the 12.9 inch iPad Pro along with the A14X chip in the third quarter of 2020 followed by the 16 inch MacBook Pro in the fourth quarter of 2020. According to him, Apple will produce 4-6 products with Mini LED in the next 2-3 years.
The famous and accurate Apple analyst explains why Mini-LED would be a great option for Apple. He says that these Mini LED displays will feature a richer and wider color gamut, a high dynamic range and contrast ratios, and local dimming. With all these advancements, Apple will still manage to make the display thin, with burn-in prevention and power efficiency
