With the announcement of NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service this week and with HBO Max coming out this spring too, the streaming wars are just getting bigger and bigger. It seems like every week they get more complicated and competitive.

It is getting colder outside, with some parts of the midwest expecting a significant amount of snow this weekend, myself included.

However, all I hear is another reason to stay inside and keep warm during the snowstorm.

TV:

  • Even Stevens: I have had a buddy of mine who has told me that this has been a good show for him to re-watch again. The entire series can be streamed on Disney+ and consist of three seasons with 65 episodes.

  • Fresh Off the Boat: The last season of the series is currently airing on ABC and the entire series is available to stream on Hulu. Fresh Off the Boat is set to have its series finale in February 2020.

  • Good Girls (Season 3 premiere): Its third season premiered on Thursday night but will be available to stream on Hulu as of today and on the NBC app for free. The other previous two seasons of the show are available to stream on Netflix.

Movies:

  • The Bling Ring: This movie has quite a star-studded cast that includes Harry Potter’s Emma Watson. The movie will be available to stream on Netflix on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

  • The American President: With the 2020 Election coming up this year, this might be a good movie to watch and see just how the life of the president works. This movie is available to stream on CBS All Access.

  • The Vanishing of Sidney Hall: If you’ve been looking for a good indie film to watch, this is a good one. The cast is pretty good, again, considering the fact that this is an indie film, meaning that it will not bring in as much money as blockbuster films. Right now, this movie can be streamed on Prime Video.

Sports:

  • Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs (NFL): This is all for the AFC Championship. The winner of the game will be going to the Super Bowl. The game will be played at 3:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 19 on CBS.

  • Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers (NFL): The winner of this AFC Championship game will play one of these two NFC teams in the Super Bowl. It will be played at 6:40 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 19 on FOX.

  • #6 Kansas vs. Texas (College Basketball): Now, this could be a good Big 12 conference match-up. The game will be played at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 18 on ESPN.

In the meantime, before you get one with your streaming this weekend and into next week, be sure to check out our articles about the newest information about Peacock and how you can get a one-month free trial of CBS All Access right now, as well as the new Nickelodeon TV shows that ViacomCBS added to CBS All Access this past week.
