It has been reported from a user on Reddit that the Apple TV app got an upgrade its Channels section with the addition of A&E Crime Central today.

The cost of the service is only $4.99 a month and has programming available such as Beyond Scared Straight, Hunting Jonbenet’s Killer: The Untold Story, Cold Case Files and a few others.

One cool thing about the service is that all programming on the channel has the option for being available offline. Those that have a subscription to the service can download episodes, movies or documentaries on their iPhone or iPad and watch them without an internet connection.

Having the content available offline is an exclusive feature subscribing to the service on Apple TV Channels and is something that we have seen with similar streaming services like HBO NOW and CBS All Access.

The Apple TV app can be used on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and the Mac. You can also find it on the Amazon Fire TV, Roku and select Smart TVs.
