Wednesday morning, Apple released two new main products; a new MacBook Air the other one being a new iPad Pro.

This new MacBook Air is two times faster than the previous model and has graphics performance that is now 80 percent faster than the previous model too.

These new upgrades are said to allow users of the MacBook Air to get things done quicker, play games from Apple Arcade and to let users overall enjoy themselves.

In addition to the improved to the speed and graphics performance, Apple has added the new Magic Keyboard that is the same one customers would find on the 16-inch MacBook Pro that was released in late-2019.

“From students and consumers buying their first computer to customers looking to upgrade, everyone loves the Mac, and they especially love MacBook Air. Today we’re giving it a huge update, with two times faster performance, the new Magic Keyboard, double the storage, a new lower price of $999 and an even lower price of $899 for education,” said Tom Boger, Apple’s senior director of Mac and iPad Product Marketing. “With its stunning, thin and light design, brilliant Retina display, all-day battery life and the power and ease-of-use of macOS, MacBook Air is the world’s best consumer notebook.”

This new MacBook Air has the latest 10th generation Intel processors with up to up to 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz.

The MacBook Air now starts with a 256GB SSD for storage and has a starting price of $999 and those that get education pricing can get this new Mac starting at $899. Customers can max-out the storage capacity to up to 2TB too.

Users can unlock this MacBook with their fingerprint by using the Touch ID scanner on the keyboard, which is also good for making Apple Pay purchases too.

  • A three-mic array for more clear voice capture for FaceTime calls with friends and family.
  • The industry-best Force Touch trackpad for precise cursor control and multi-touch navigation.
  • Thunderbolt 3 ports for data transfer, charging and video output in a single connector.
  • Support for up to a 6K external display, a first for MacBook Air.
  • Advanced stereo speakers for immersive, wide stereo sound for activities like watching Apple TV+ content or playing games in Apple Arcade.

The new MacBook Air can be purchased today from Apple’s website but will not be able to picked up or purchased in its retail stores, as they are closed till further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
