Notification Center has made its way to the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Mac over the years, but one of the devices that Apple has not added it to is the Apple TV.
The Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K still have not added it over years, despite the other great tvOS updates and improvements like Dark Mode and Picture-in-Picture support.
With the way how our society is working, we need to be notified when important items in our lives are happening. I’m not saying we need to have text messages on the Apple TV because, let’s face it, that’s just a private thing.
A few notifications I would like to be able to get would be to have would be weather updates from CARROT Weather and package delivery updates from apps like Deliveries. In addition to that, notifications for important events like Amber Alerts would be nice too.
I’d even go as far as to have notifications for calendar dates in there. Say you’re watching something on Netflix and then you get a notification about a doctor’s appointment with the current travel time on it. You would have forgotten about it if it wasn’t for the notification on your Apple TV.
I know that we already get plenty of notifications on our iPhones and other Apple devices, but it would be nice if Apple looked into adding some notifications for tvOS 14 on the Apple TV.
There are some notifications that are annoying, but some that are quite crucial in our ever-changing society.
