As part of the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic, Apple has yet taken initiative once again, and released the COVID-19 Screening Tools.
A website and an iPhone app which helps everyone stay informed about the recommendations and plans to fight the pandemic, as Apple has partnered with the CDC, the White House Coronavirus Task Force, and FEMA to make this concept a reality.
The Screening Tool helps everyone to answer to a series of questions about the symptoms and the risk factors, learn more about the symptoms, get recommendations and guidance on different levels, such as self-isolating and social-distancing, as well as getting advices wether a COVID-19 test is recommended or not, and wether you should or should not seek medical attention.
“The COVID-19 app and website allow users to answer a series of questions around risk factors, recent exposure and symptoms for themselves or a loved one. In turn, they will receive CDC recommendations on next steps, including guidance on social distancing and self-isolating, how to closely monitor symptoms, whether or not a test is recommended at this time, and when to contact a medical provider. This new screening tool is designed to be a resource for individuals and does not replace instructions from healthcare providers or guidance from state and local health authorities.” – Apple
The Screening tool also offers access to official resources, where everyone can access and know more about how to stay safe, and although you are being asked a series of questions about the virus symptoms and risk factors, your privacy will remain safely, as always.
