HBO NOW

HBO has announced that app support for the HBO GO and HBO NOW apps will soon be gone as of April 30, 2020.

This means that on April 30, users of the older generations of the Apple TV will no longer be able to watch content from the HBO GO and HBO NOW apps from the older Apple TVs.

Currently, HBO GO and HBO NOW are available on the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. These are the two newest versions of the Apple TV that have tvOS, Apple’s newest operating system for its Apple TV streaming devices.

Another option to stream HBO NOW content is through Apple TV Channels. The difference between watching content on the Apple TV app and the HBO NOW app is that all of the content on the service is accessible through the Apple TV app. Movies and TV shows on HBO NOW are also available to download for offline viewing too through Apple TV Channels.

HBO GO is available through those who pay for HBO on their cable and satellite package. HBO NOW costs $14.99 a month both through HBO and Apple TV Channels.
