Apple has released iOS 13.4.1 for the iPhone SE (2nd Generation) before it’s official launch. This means that iPhone SE (2nd Generation) units which will be arriving tomorrow will be running iOS 13.4 out of the box.
The build number for iOS 13.4 running on this device is 17E8255 while the build number for iOS 13.4 running on other iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch is 17E255.
The build number of iOS 13.4.1 for the iPhone SE (2nd Generation) is different than that of iOS 13.4.1 for other iOS devices. The build number for iOS 13.4.1 for the iPhone SE (2nd Generation) is 17E8258 while the build number for iOS 13.4.1 for other iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch is 17E262.
It is highly recommended to update your iPhone SE (2nd Generation) to iOS 13.4.1 once you receive it and set it up! This update fixes a critical bug where iOS 13.4 users are unable to communicate with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier via FaceTime. Update your iPhone to be able to communicate via FaceTime with your loved ones using older devices.
