Apple has re-released the video “How to erase your iPhone” today on their Apple Support YouTube channel after they had removed the video last month due to the confirmation of AirTags the on official support tutorial itself.
As we had discovered earlier, this video had reference to an unreleased Apple Product which is similar to Tile, named “AirTags”. In the previous deleted video, the 2nd part whichof the tutorial shows us how to erase an iPhone from the computer, in which Apple tells us to turn off Find My iPhone on the iPhone. When the Apple support executive in the video tapped on Settings>Name>Find My>Find my iPhone, There are three different options which were ”“ Enabling/Disabling Find My iPhone, Enabling Offline Finding and Send Last Location. Under “Enable Offline Finding”, Apple had mentioned “Offline finding enables this device and AirTags to be found when not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.” This phrase clearly mentioned AirTags which we discovered after the original video was posted last month. Apple deleted the video in the same hour after we posted the article about the confirming AirTags. Read our full article about the confirmation of AirTags here.
Apple has today re-released this video today, which doesn’t mention “AirTags” anymore. Watch the new Apple Support video uploaded by Apple, How To erase your iPhone,
