Last week, Apple released a new firmware update for the AirPods Pro, now Apple has released the same firmware updated to the second-generation AirPods, updating the firmware from 2A364 to 2D15.

Apple has not released what is new in the firmware at the moment. AirPods Pro users have had mixed reactions over the latest update with many saying it improved the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and others noticed no change.

You can check to see what firmware your ‌AirPods‌ have installed by following these steps:

  1. Make sure the ‌‌‌AirPods‌‌‌ are connected to your iOS device.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Tap About.
  5. Tap ‌‌‌AirPods‌‌‌.
  6. Check the number next to ‘Firmware Version’.

AirPods 2nd Generation.

Note: This AirPods featured in this image have not been updated to the latest firmware
