Apple is rumored to have been developing a smart Augmented Reality Glass for a long time. We are hearing rumors about this unreleased product in the last few years.

According to leaker Jon Prosser from the YouTube Channel Front Page Tech, these Smart Augmented Reality Glasses which have been rumored in the last few years will be named “Apple Glass” and will be priced at $499 with customisable options for prescription lenses. According to Prosser, “Apple Glass” was supposed to be announced as a “One More Thing” in their event in the fourth Quarter to 2020 or in the first Quarter of 2021 but the Coronavirus Pandemic may create a delay in the announcement dates.

Prosser claims to have seen the prototype of Apple Glass which has a LiDAR Sensor on the right side of the frame but will lack a camera. These glasses will be able to charge wirelessly placed upside down on a wireless plastic stand. Jon Prosser may share the early prototype of Apple Glass, but after consultation with a legal team. The User Interface will be called “Starboard”. It will also be able to scan “Proprietary Apple QR Code” which matches with the ‘Gobi’ app leak by Josh Constine. Read more about it here. Both the lenses will feature a display which can only seen by the person wearing it and all the data processing will be done on an iPhone which means that some older iPhone models may not be able to run the Apple Glass. I personally feel that the Apple Glass will be supported with iPhones having the A12 Bionic chip and atleast 4GB of RAM or later because of its power & capabilities. The iPhone Xs and Xs Max may be supported because it has 4GB of RAM but iPhone Xr may not be supported because it has a lower 3GB of RAM.
