Apple is bringing some major updates to several of its education apps, starting with Schoolwork 2.0 for iPad and Mac.
Schoolwork is an app developed by Apple that allows teachers to distribute class materials similarly to Google’s offering Google Classroom. Apple’s newest update to Schoolwork will bring features like Files Integration and performance improvements.
‘Apple-designed Schoolwork 2.0 to include features found in other ”ŒiPad”Œ OS apps, like Files, and to speed up navigation around the software. There’s a new Handout library with a source list on the left side that makes it easier to navigate to different classes or the student’s library with drafts and favorites. On the right are cards with things like reminders for a field trip or a math assignment’ – Source MacRumors
Other new features that Schoolwork brings to users include a new and improved Handouts view and new communication features to allow teachers to contact their students at ease.
Schoolwork isn’t the only application to be updated, Apple is also updating its Classroom application, that allows teachers to launch apps and websites across all devices, share a students screen to the teacher’s iPad or Apple TV, share files, and more.
The updated Classroom app includes automatic syncing of Apple School Manager classes, temporary sessions for iPad, and zooming functionality.
The updated versions of Schoolwork and Classroom are coming soon, though no launch dates have been released.
