Who doesn’t remember the gold Apple Watch Edition, with a $10,000 price tag? Well the 2020 version of that is going to be the Steve Jobs Heritage Edition AR glasses which will be a John Lennon-style glass, famously worn by Steve Jobs.

A new Apple leaker, Jon Prosser, recently told Cult of Mac that Apple is working on a special “Steve Jobs Heritage Edition” AR glass. The new glass will like the classic pair of glass which stands as an icon of Steve Jobs.

Prosser pointed in a recent podcast interview that, “They [Apple] are also working on a prototype, a Steve Jobs Heritage Edition. It’s “similar to how we had an Apple Watch Edition, like that ridiculous $10,000 gold one when it first came out”.According to him the special edition glass will be particularly priced just like the special Series 0 Apple Watch Edition that was made of gold. He says he doesn’t know whether the heritage glasses would be made of gold or any other precious metal.

It is recently leaked that the Cupertino based tech giant is working on its new wearable, Apple Glass. It is rumored that the Apple Glass will come with displays on both lens and a LiDAR sensor over the right eye for accurate scene scanning. Apple has not included front cameras to the Apple Glass considering privacy security. A gesture-controlled UI named Starboard will be running on the Apple Glass. The data from the AR glass will be processed by a paired iPhone.

Apple Glass is expected to release as a “one more thing” reveal at a keynote as soon as this fall, Added Prosser. It will be available for the public by Q4 of 2021 or Q1 of 2022
