From May 11, around 25 Apple stores have reopened in the US, but most of those stores were focusing on pickups and repairs only. As a relaxation to that, Apple is planning to reopen approximately 100 retails stores in the US.

Apple Corte Madera, Apple Hillsdale, and Apple Union Square, etc., had reopened already, but were primarily focusing on repairs and pickups. Due to the local guidelines, customers are forced to use the sidewalk counters rather than entering a store. This made it difficult for the customers to buy new products and to use the Genius Bar effectively. Till now only 32 out of 271 stores have opened in the US. By reopening more stores, Apple believes to satisfy their customer needs and to maintain the customer-service relationship.

“We are committed to reopening our stores in a very thoughtful manner with the health and safety of our customers and teams as our top priority, and we look forward to seeing our customers again soon,” Apple said in a statement to The Verge.

With the reopening of more stores especially at California, Florida, Arizona, and others, it will be a great benefit to customers since there is a huge rush at the Apple stores in those locations. Apple Care employees are already going through their new protocols and guidelines for interacting with the customers and serving them without creating safety concerns.
