Apple wins ‘Displays of the year award’ for its Pro Display XDR

Apple had announced the Pro Display XDR along with the powerful Mac Pro in WWDC 2019. This powerful Mac along with the Pro Display XDR was finally released after much anticipation in December 2019. The Pro Display XDR features a 6K resolution and a 32 inch Display size with upto 1600 nits of Brightness. It has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with a super-wide viewing angle and P3 Color Gamut along with 10 bit color for displaying more than 1 billion colors! It has an extreme dynamic range, which is why it is named XDR which is beyond the technology of HDR.

The Society of Information Display has announced winners for the 26th Annual Display Industry awards The Pro Display XDR is one of the winners, and listed first under the “Displays of the Year” category. The Pro Display XDR works best for Pro users along with the Mac Pro. Apple has also given instructions on setting up the Pro Display XDR. Tap or click on this link to read it. While the Mac Pro works best with the Pro Display XDR, the MacBook Air 2020 can also be connected and used with the Pro Display XDR at a full 6K resolution. This is not the first time Apple has won an award from The Society of Information Display. Earlier, Apple had also won awards for the Apple Watch Series 4, iPad Pro and the iPhone X from The Society of Information Display.
