Changes are coming soon to one of HBO’s oldest streaming platforms.
HBO Go will be shutting down on July 31, 2020, after the release of HBO Max in late May.
HBO Go is a service that enabled those who already had HBO on their cable/satellite package, to stream HBO live, as well as have access to the network’s on-demand catalog.
There is no additional cost to subscribers for using the HBO Go app.
HBO NOW is also going to be seeing some changes. To make a long story short, HBO NOW Â will become an HBO app and will serve the same purpose as the old HBO NOW app, but not have the WarnerMedia content HBO Max has.
HBO Go is a free app in the App Store and HBO Max is in it as well. HBO Max costs $14.99 a month.
