According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is sending out emails to a select amount of users about a new AppleSeed beta for new HomePod Software.

Users who are invited to the private beta are able to try out new features before they release it to the public during the Fall.

At Apple’s WWDC 2020 Keynote today, the company announced that HomePod will be getting a new feature that let it announce when a HomeKit connected smart doorbell has been rung. This update also brings support for third-party music services for the first time, which will allow the speaker to work with Spotify, Pandora and others by default without the need of using AirPlay.
