Apple is reportedly working on a successor to the iPad Air, which will be more affordable and powerful. A new report states that Apple is accelerating its supply chain to ramp up the production of a new line of iPad devices which may be launched later this year. The new iPad Air is rumored to feature the latest-gen chip technology at a reduced price, similar to what consumers saw with the release of the iPhone SE earlier this year.

The 2020 iPad Air is rumored to feature a 10.8-inch screen and an A13 Bionic processor. Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported Apple has plans to release two new iPads in late 2020 and early 2021 with a 10.8-inch display and an 8.5-inch display. Kuo also stated that Apple may include a new 20-watt charging adapter.
