Earlier in the year in March, Apple purchased weather app Dark Sky. The app developers announced the Android version would be discontinued on July 1. Instead, the discontinued date was pushed back for a month.
Android users now are unable to access the app and subscribers whose subscriptions were active will be receiving a full refund. The Dark Sky API will be active through the end of 2021.
Dark Sky weather forecasts and maps are still available on their website for the time being with no date announced if the website and its services will be discontinued.
