The streaming game keeps changing, but in this case, it’s getting even better. Here are our picks for the upcoming week.
TV:
- “RENO 911”: This show starring Thomas Lennon had its newest season on Quibi. However, to watch the previous seasons, they are now all available on CBS All Access.

- “Hunters”: This TV series was just renewed for a second this week by Amazon. The first season can be streamed on Prime Video.
Movies:
- “Liberal Arts”: If you are looking for a good movie to stream and are about to be heading off to college soon, make sure to check out this film that has “How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor. The movie can be rented for $3.99 in the Apple TV app.
- “Paper Towns”: Speaking of going to college, this is another great movie that talks about the end of high school and several high school students who have a trip of a lifetime before they begin their college careers. It can be streamed through the TNT app at this time as long as you sign in with your TV provider. It can also be rented through the Apple TV app for $3.99.
- “St. Elmo’s Fire”: Since we’re sticking with the post-high school and post-college theme here, this is a 1980s film that talks about the transition by a few recent college graduates to working in real world. It can be rented for $3.99 in the Apple TV app.
Sports:
- Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals (MLB): It is one of the oldest rivalries in all of baseball, and there will be another game to go into the history books. It will be played at 8:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 8, on ESPN+.
- San Antonio Spurs vs. New Orleans Pelicans (NBA): This game should be available for most of our readers. It will be played at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 9, on ABC.
