How to enable Dark Mode on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

To enable dark mode on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch you need a device compatible with iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or later

Enable Dark Mode from your Control Center:

Follow these steps to add the Dark Mode toggle on the Control Center of your device:

  1. Open Settings

2. Tap on Control Center

3. Tap on Customize Controls

4. Add the Dark Mode Toggle

For iPhone, iPad, and iPad Touch running iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or later:

  1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen for a Face ID Device or Swipe up from the bottom of your display to invoke Control Center

2. Tap on the Dark Mode toggle which will enable Dark Mode or press and hold on the brightness toggle to expand it and tap on Dark Mode to enable it.

Enable Dark Mode from Settings:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down to Display & Brightness (or search it on the search bar)
    You can choose between Light and Dark appearance.

If you want to automate Dark Mode to be enabled only during certain times, there are two options: Sunset to sunrise or you can set a Custom Schedule.
