macOS Beta

Apple has released the eighth beta of macOS Big Sur to developers after a week since the release of the seventh beta.

The build number for macOS Big Sur beta 8 is 20A5374i. Straight from Apple’s release notes a kernel issue has been resolved where the kernel would cause an application to quit unexpectedly.

macOS Big Sur Beta 8 and future updates can be downloaded through Software Update once the developer profile is installed. If you decide to update to the Developer or Public beta, remember to have a back-up of your data and be careful. Installing one of these betas on your main devices can cause unexpected issues, resulting in data loss and potential software and hardware issues. If you are interested in trying the public beta of macOS Big Sur, you can visit beta.apple.com.

Let us know what you think of macOS Big Sur and if you have discovered anything in the latest beta on Twitter at @appleosophy.
