Apple closed all of its retail stores outside of China on March 13 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Overtime case numbers dropped and regions around the world eased restrictions allowing Apple to reopen certain stores with safety procedures in place.

Apple encourages customers to continue shopping and support through the Apple Store app or Apple Support. Many locations are open for Genius Bar appointments and service and curbside/storefront pickup.

In the United States, Apple began opening stores on May 11. Following the June COVID outbreaks, certain locations where high case numbers were present were closed.

Appleosophy Founder & CEO Holden Satterwhite discovered that his local store in Austin was reopening following months of being closed.

Around the world, 420 out of 512 Apple Stores are open (via 9to5Mac). All Stores in Victoria, Melbourne are closed following Stage 4 restrictions. 5 stores in Madrid and Zaragoza in Spain have closed and 69 in the United States have reclosed with 2 remain closed due to looting.
